Laser scans of acoustic burrows

Male mole crickets of the genus Gryllotalpa dig resonant acoustic burrows with multiple exponential horns and a resonance chamber to amplify their songs. Laser scans of these burrows allow the application of new numerical acoustic modelling techniques to the underground world of these crickets.
